Natural Skin Care: Alternatives to Traditional Products
Natural skin care is as old as mankind. In the past couple of decades, skin care was beginning to show a steady decline towards a more chemical-based type of skin care. However, in recent years skincare has shifted, once again, to its natural origins.
In fact, now you can see home remedies for skin care products and skin treatments abound on the Internet. The reason that this type of product persists in time is because it actually does work. The only negative aspect, if you want to look at it in that manner, is that natural products take longer to show definite results than do tradition products.
Homemade Skin Care Products
Natural skin care doesn't necessarily have to be expensive. In fact, you can easily find most home remedy ingredients in your kitchen or backyard.
And if you're really interested, you can find a natural alternative to most traditional products. Sunblocks and sunscreens, however, are more challenging. I suggest that you purchase the traditional brands as recreating SPF in your home is quite difficult.
Homemade facial cleansers can be based on natural fruits, fruit juices, and infusions. To treat oily skin you can make a homemade product that contains citric fruits. Normal and dry skin, on the other hand, require a more gentle approach.
Toners are made using essential oils. The biggest benefit of making your own toner is that you can make sure that it does not contain alcohol or other irritating additives. You can also test which essential oils are right for your skin.
Exfoliating products are probably the easiest type to find. You can exfoliate using sugar, salt, or fruits, however, if you have sensitive you might want to go for a creamier exfoliant such as a dairy product.
Making your own natural moisturizer is much more challenging because it requires that you cook some of the ingredients. In this case it is usually best to buy a natural moisturizer that contains the natural ingredients you need.
Recipes for Homemade Skin Care Products
Here are a few recipes for some natural skin treatments.
If you have oily skin and would like to make a homemade cleanser, simply process one kiwi fruit. Then add 2 tbsp of plain yogurt, one tbsp of orange water, 1 tbsp of almond oil, 1 tbsp of honey and 1 tsp of finely ground almond. Once you've mixed these ingredients process until it is thick and creamy.
Once you've finished processing, add 2 drops of your favorite citrus essential oil and apply to your skin. Massage gently for a few minutes and rinse with warm water.
If you want to make a toner, simply place 1 to 3 drops of your favorite essential oil (or oils) to 8 oz of floral water. The mixture should be placed in a sterile bottle, shaken, and then applied to your face using a cotton ball.
Bio skin care is a recent trend that is basically focused on an all natural skin care. In order to adopt this type of skincare, you can make your own products or you can purchase natural skin care products, like BIOSKINCARE cream, that comes fully prepared. This type of product is a great way of getting all the benefits of natural skin care, without having to deal with the mess of making them, and what's best that this type of product is just as gentle as homemade products but much more intense.
